When it comes to fashion, I get inspired by so many different things! I love watching fashion documentaries about famous icons such Iris Apfel and designers like Christian Dior. I also get a lot of inspiration from fashion bloggers and people I have never met but follow on Instagram.

But I think that where most of my inspiration comes from is my friends. They’re the ones that constantly surround me with such a diverse range of styles and seeing how they dress on a daily basis gives me so many ideas of how I can style something differently or encourage myself to try a new style I’ve never thought I would like.

So that is where Sydney comes in. I’m starting this new series called “I Like Your Style” to give me more experience behind the camera and to capture the style of the many people that have inspired me.

Sydney is my roommate and probably one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to what some would call, “Effortless Chic.” She is always able to pull the best outfits together by combining only a couple of garments because she is an expert with statement pieces. This shoot was a perfect example of that! By wearing a comfortable, black body suit she was able to add a jacket and shoes to get two completely separate looks!

Pairing a grey jacket with her Adidas created a casual but sophisticated look. It’s a perfect way to look nice and be comfortable for a busy day of touring a new city or running errands.

The pink jacket with slits on either side and paired with some heels gave her a much more dressed up look, something perfect for a dinner date or a job interview.
